Three numbers that answer different questions
An item price is the amount shown for the product. A subtotal may include a platform fee but exclude shipping. A checkout total is what you must actually pay for that order after location and applicable charges are confirmed. Label them separately.
In our A36 research, a ₹25,999 Flipkart item price became a ₹26,128 subtotal after the captured ₹129 fee, with shipping still unknown. Showing ₹25,999 beside a complete delivered total would hide a difference in what the numbers include.
Apply discounts only when you qualify
A headline may assume a particular card, an exchange device, a coupon or a financing choice. Keep those conditional benefits separate from the unconditional price. For exchange, compare the value of surrendering your old phone as well as the cash you pay.
Use the final amount displayed for your own eligibility. Techipage currently excludes bank, exchange and EMI savings from the research figures because we cannot establish that every visitor qualifies.
Location, availability and time complete the comparison
Enter your pincode on the retailer, confirm the named seller and inspect current stock. A date displayed for a source page’s example location does not describe your address. A saved Techipage pincode currently stores a preference; it does not fetch a delivery quote.
Finally record when you checked. A dated observation can explain an offer, but cannot reserve its price. If fees or shipping remain unknown, keep the total unknown too. You can still investigate the cheaper item price without claiming it is the cheapest delivered order.
